Please allow time for the interactive experience to load. The experience was built for a conference setting as a PC application with touchscreen monitor. It was not built for website use, although for reviewing purposes please use Chrome or Firefox as your browser. Additionally, the experience was intentionally designed without voiceover, relying instead on text to effectively communicate its message in the noisy conference environment. Enjoy!
For Intellia, we partnered with the wonderful team at Apollo Medical Communications to create an interactive educational program designed to help patients in a clinical trial better understand how CRISPR gene editing works. The goal was to make complex science approachable and easy to remember through a mix of storytelling, animation, and interaction.

We brought the science to life using 3D animation, interactive sequences, and two animated guides- Dr. N. Tellia and Captain Chris Per. Think Magic School Bus meets Fantastic Voyage. The experience was built for patients and families to explore at their own pace, blending accurate science with warmth and humor.
At its first showing, more than seventy people went through the entire experience, and the feedback was incredible. Many said they had struggled to grasp the science before trying it, but afterward, they not only understood it, they were excited to explain it to their families. (We made that easy with a printed, patient-friendly workbook.)

The program recently won an RX Club Award of Excellence, which we’re pretty excited about. And we’re currently developing a stand-alone animation version that’ll be out soon!
