A close-up of a complex mechanical and electronic assembly captures the perfected design of a glowing red laser beam at its center. With circuits and cables rendered in wireframe style, this futuristic, high-tech image reveals every detail with exceptional focus.

In the 3rd animation of a 4-part series, XVIVO created a video for Nikon on the Perfect Focus System features on the new Eclipse T12 inverted microscope. When the Perfect Focus System is enabled, it automatically maintains the sample in focus despite changes in the environment due to temperature, vibration, or the addition of liquids into the sample.

Merging actual cellular fluorescent images and animation, we follow the light path through the underlying mechanisms of mirrors, lenses, and a servo motor that take real-time information from the sample being imaged and make immediate changes to maintain focus. Learn more about these animations in our blog, NIKON – SEE MORE THAN BEFORE.
